About five months ago, Owino passed by a small group of people discussing the Bible in Mbale, Kenya. He was curious so he stopped and listened as a 77 year old man, Wakoko, lead the Bible study on John 3, the story of Nicodemus and Jesus. God spoke to Owino’s heart and he prayed to receive Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. Owino wanted to learn to share the Gospel and Wakoko and other IMFC leaders in Mbale trained him. Today, Owino is sharing this same Gospel that changed his life at his home in Kisuma, Kenya. Last week Deo, James and Kintu traveled to Kisuma to facilitate and witness Owino’s first baptism.150 people were baptized! I love it. This is what we have been praying for and working towards. To God be the glory.

2015 has been a great year for the spread of the Gospel in Uganda and now Kenya. IMFC has been able to facilitate 3,886 baptisms in Uganda and Kenya. By the end of the year we will see more than 4,000 people following Jesus in baptism. This Thanksgiving I am giving thanks for the men and women of Uganda and Kenya that are passionately sharing Christ to see their families and friends come to faith in Jesus Christ. Many are religious, but most have no relationship with God through Jesus Christ. People are empty and without hope. The Gospel changes that.

Paul asked the people in Thessaloniki to pray for him that the “Lord’s message may spread rapidly and be honored” (2 Thessalonians 3:1). As you pray this Thanksgiving, pray for IMFC. Pray that the Lord’s message may spread rapidly and be honored. Have a great Thanksgiving. God bless.
