Here is a letter from Vincent Zansenga one of the Bible Way leaders. I have known Vincent for many years now; he loves the Lord with all his heart and is a great guy. He is also the only single member of the IMFC staff in Kampala. You can join us in praying that God provides a wife for him.
“I just want to let you know what is happening with our prison ministry at Luzira. We now have 166 prisoners doing the ‘Who Is Jesus’ book! Praise be to God for that! The translation used is the Luganda and the English ones.
“We did get into Luzira prison through a former prisoner who got to do the discipleship course that just transformed his life. The gentleman’s name is Nathan. When he served all his days of sentence, he came out of jail changed because of the Bible Way course he studied. That is how we got to know him. Now he is very faithful in getting the books to the very prisoners who saw him when he was not saved and now see him transformed by the Truth.
“At the prison, I got to see that there were prisoners who were called pastors! These were fellow prisoners who offered spiritual counsel and leadership to the fellowship there. These were the ones who went out through the relationships built in the cells to preach to their fellow prisoners! And these were the ones who were responsible for the distribution of our materials at the cells. It was such a joy to see these guys use their prison experience as an opportunity to preach the Gospel.
“I was asked for bibles because many of these prisoners who are saved are preaching out what scriptures some on else told them by work of mouth. They are requesting that 1 bible be given them for every ward. There are 12 wards in total. These wards are overcrowded. They would use two major translatons (Luganda and English). These bibles would remain as property of the fellowship not individuals.
“At Bible Way we do keep in contact with those who are released so as to continue with the discipleship and accountability. We are exploring an opportunity for baptism for new believes who get saved from our program.
“Thanks so much for your support and prayers. Now we can minister the Truth of God inour so called ‘correction center’ here at Luzira remand prison. Vincent Zasenga”
