God Makes A Way for Bible Way Luganda Speakers in Nakasongola Prison

by Jimmy on June 25, 2010

Here is an email I received from Joseph Esiana this week who leads IMFC’s growing work in the prisons of Uganda.

God is not limited by anything! Not our inability, inadequacy, or insufficiency!

Nakasongola Prison has had an incredible story about how God makes a way where seems to be no way.

Bible Way students studying the Luganda courses at Nakasongola Prison finished eight books and were headed for the ninth and tenth books. These were only in English because we did not have the funds to print the Lugandan version. Something had to be done! As always God opened the way. One inmate who is enrolled in Bible Way and understood English and Luganda sat and translated for the rest of inmates in the language they understood.

This week, 25 students have been able to complete the ninth Bible Way course through the help of a fellow inmate who understands their language. Wow!

Friends will you please pray for provision for the reprinting of these Bible Way discipleship materials so many more inmates, manna recipients and high school students can be won and discipled for Christ.

God bless you all.

Joseph Esiana

Ugandans are very open to the gospel and they desire to read and grow in their new found Christian faith. Every time I go over and walk through the slums, enter the prisons, and share in a high school I am astounded at how much they love these simply Bible Way books and how the Lord is using them to change lives.

BibleWay BooksJoin Joseph and me in this prayer for the resources to print more of the Bible Way books. An entire set of Bible Way books only costs five US dollars. We print 1,000 copies of one book at a time to get these prices (50 cents each).

This is a real need. We cannot keep up with the widening demand for the Bible Way books.

Pray with us.
