Happy Thanksgiving 2017!

Happy Thanksgiving! I haven’t shared a Manna Ministry story in a long time so one is due, especially on Thanksgiving. We have so much to be grateful for. We have been blessed and the Lord has allowed us to be a blessing to others. I hope you enjoy this story and the Lord bless you and your family on this Thanksgiving.

Nabowa Grace is 39 years old, a single mother of 4 children. Grace comes from Mubende which is 2–3 hours drive from Kampala. She came to Kampala to look for a job when she was young. She found a husband and had children. Her husband left her and the children and she became hopeless. This is how we found Grace while registering recipients for Manna Ministry.

Grace is now in the Manna program and was challenged when we shared with them about saving and starting a small business. She started working cleaning people’s clothes and then begin saving her shillings. Grace saved 80,000 shillings and decided to start a poultry business. She bought 45 young birds, lost 3 birds and remained with 42. She sold the birds for 420,000 shillings and has bought 60 more that she plans to sell in the Christmas season. Grace is working hard to get a bigger place to start a poultry farm and is helping her friends know how to keep birds in small places. She has a passion to work and she is determined to reach her goals. She requested us to pray for her.

Alex shared with Grace the gospel of Jesus Christ and in October she prayed to receive Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She is now in Bible Way and is part of a house church that meets at her home. She is planning on being baptized next week as Alex takes a group to Lake Victoria for baptism.

Grace’s life will never be the same. Her children are at school and she is very happy. Grace is smiling because of the help that God gave her through Manna program. She said there is no way she can thank you but God knows what you need and prays that He will meet your needs and that you will be able to reach out to many others who are just like her.

May God bless Manna. May God bless IMFC.

Vincent

Happy Thanksgiving.
