Jesus told one who would be follower, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head” (Luke 9:58).
Jesus owned nothing, but when He needed a donkey to ride into Jerusalem He had it. When He needed an upper room to celebrate Passover with His disciples, He had it. When He needed anything, He had it. Why? He had a FATHER!
Listen to Jesus’ prayer in Matthew 6. Here is the key to how He lived his life.
Jesus lived each day with the knowledge that his Father owned everything and would give Him whatever He needed when He needed it. Not a day early or late. On time. At the precise moment. HIS Father would give him what He needed. So, He did not focus on what He did not have, but on His Father who had everything.
We also have a Father in heaven. One who loves us and will provide for us. So, in the middle of this economic downturn, DON’T WORRY. You have a Father. Look to Him. Focus your life upon Him. Trust Him. He will provide what you need when you need it.
